Sounds like a good method. I personally like the kickin' up and down method.
I'm a tactile person, I gotta have my hands and feet doing something! That's why riding a bike is so enjoyable for me--it's all hands and feet (and head don't forget --about 90%? MSF?)
Into easy shifting? Check out the link below. Perhaps an automatic bike takes away from the experience for most riders. I never heard of the bike until recently...
